I have been neglectful in my blog. I actually have a new post ready to go but I haven't been able to get the camera software loaded on the computer. (I won't tell you that I have only tried once...)
So instead of that post, I will share a story...
I don't necessarily believe in the pregnancy brain phenomena...forgetting stuff and being scatterbrained. Nor the clumsiness that come along with it. I am slightly clumsy without being pregnant. One of Ben's nicknames for me is Wrecking Ball. But that is due more to me rushing to get though things.
But back to the brain thing. I guess I will admit that when at work things don't come as quickly to my mind as they used to. Also, I will blame something I said in a meeting the other day on pregnancy...
I was in this meeting and we were talking about preparing to idle our facility for a period of time inbetween manufacturing campaigns. I was thinking about needing someplace to store equipment and other miscellaneous things so it didn't "walk off" while we were not using it. However, what came out of my mouth in the meeting was not quite what I was thinking. I said, "We need a place to hide the bodies". I kid you not...those actual words came out of my mouth! Everyone in the meeting just stopped and looked at me like I was crazy. Crazy pregnant I guess. Anyway, I have no idea how I confused "equipment" and "bodies"...riddle me that...

Man With No Shirt On
Often people won't remember my name and will just be like, " you know, that tall girl..." Or I can walk past small children and smile to myself when I hear one say, "wow, she is really tall." Well, to a four year old, everybody is tall, so I must be gigantor.
So the inspiration behind the name of my blog, "you know...that tall girl."
Now I do think I am remembered for the sheer fact of being a tall lady. For example, Ben and I will visit a store for a second or third time. Ben can talk to the same sales person, and they will not remember him. The minute I walk up beside him, they will remember us. Ben said he needs to be a bank robber. His rationale...it's the perfect profession for someone people don't remember. Next he decided he needed to stop wearing any shirt so he can be remembered as "man with no shirt on." Then we'd be "that tall girl" and "man with no shirt on." I do love my "man with no shirt on."

A New Hobby…Maybe
I have decided to try blogging…
Inspired by reading a friend’s blog and the entertainment/inspiration obtained from it.
Motivated in part by the desire for a new hobby.
Finding more free time by a job that has recently become less busy and stressful.
Will “blogging” be a lasting hobby for me? Time will tell. There have been hobbies that I have started that sputtered out in their infancy…like candle making. I made one. It was a failure. I made no more.
Then those that spent more time devoted to, and enjoyed, but just haven’t followed through on continuing…like scrapbooking. I made one for our honeymoon. I love it. But it takes a lot of time and effort and I want it to be perfect. I have supplies to make more (think wedding, trips, adventures and more…). I need my big sister’s inspiration here.
But I do have some more lasting hobbies…like cooking. I do enjoy making new meals and taking pictures of them. But baking…not so good at that. That is my little sister’s calling.
So maybe future blogs will be could be about yummy meals I cook....or the pancakes I can’t ever seem to be bake.
