So we went today and ultrasound technican says, "She said you were measuring small?" "Yes," I reply, "but probably just because I am 'that tall girl' ". (Those were not my exact words, just embellished to go with my blog.) She collected baby's stats....head, belly, leg...and said that baby was actually measuring big. Measuring over 4 lbs and that I must be "hiding it well". She didn't do the coversion to weeks, but baby books I have say for 30-31 weeks, baby should be around 2.75 to 3.5 lbs.
Now baby could just have my big bucket head (darn, was hoping they would get a more appropriately sized one from Ben!). Or my long leg bone (is it the femur they measure?). And for belly....maybe baby just has some girth.
If I apply the law of averages, I would say that baby is probably just the right size. (Maybe not the truest application of law of averages, but sounds good.). We'll see what the doctor says when I go back in next Friday.

Now onto the nesting topic....
When does that start? Right now my interpretation of nesting is sitting on the couch. That is an appropriate nest (or roost), right??? It's very different from my non-pregnant behavior. I would hardly ever hang out on the couch. I would always be doing something. Well actually I would putter (thanks for that trait mom :) ). But maybe nesting instinct will change here soon so I start implementing my nursery set-up plan. Plenty of time on the couch to think about it! But that's what maternity leave is for, right? Thank you Eli Lilly for the time off before my due date!
